Winter Garden, Fl, December 1, 2006 . . . . . Ben Tharp has recently been named Director of Food & Beverage at one of Florida’s premier golf facilities, Orange County National Golf & Lodge.
As Director of Food & Beverage, Tharp will be instrumental in managing all facets of the F & B operation. He will be directly responsible for the day to day operations of the Phil Ritson 19th Hole restaurant and the on course food & beverage operations. Tharp is a seasoned veteran with strong communication, managerial and financial skills.
"Ben’s high volume experience in restaurant management will be an asset to Orange County National as our food and beverage business continues to grow each year," stated Bruce Gerlander, general manager, Orange County National. "Additionally, he will bring fresh ideas to the menu and the overall dining experience for guests at Orange County National."
A fifteen year veteran in restaurant business, Tharp has held management positions at a number of dining establishments in the Orlando area; most recently as the Beverage Operations Manager for the Rainforest Café. A native of Hawaii, Tharp graduated with a Business Management degree from Penn State University.
