Castle Rock, CO (December 5, 2006) – Golf Convergence, a leading golf consulting firm specializing in operational review and technology assessments, completed an in-depth systems review for the Bella Vista Village Property Owners’ Association, a seven-golf-course community of 39,000 homes and lots in Northwest Arkansas. The study will save the Association more than $50,000 in support costs during the next three years, a savings of 45% over the planned expenditure. In addition, the POA was able to forego spending $150,000 for a new golf management software solution.
The Board of Directors of the POA realized the importance of developing customer metrics to ensure optimum customer service in a cost-conscious manner. They also saw a tremendous shift in the customer demographics of their residents, so they initially sought a new golf management solution to seamlessly integrate with the existing Residential Property database. The Residential Property database keeps track of water bills, property taxes, and permits for the many activities that occur within the vibrant community.
Based on the study performed by Golf Convergence, the seamless integration of the existing golf management system with the Residential Property database will be completed within the next 30 days. In addition, the issuance of patron identification cards, the integration of the tee time reservation system with POS, and the adoption of prepaid gift cards available for sale on their web site will be achieved.
As Director of Recreation Mike Shea stated, "The key to effective management of a golf course today is to create an accurate customer database, determine the spending patterns of your patrons and determine who are the defectors and acquired customers you are serving. Golf has become so competitive that we seek to remain on the forefront of providing a superior golf experience for our member."
