La Habra, CA, December 5, 2006 – Maruman Global announced today the U.S. launch of Maruman’s "KS Wedge" series of wedges. Designed by renowned Maruman club designer Kenzo Sugiyama, the KS wedge offers golfers unique performance enhancing features not found in conventional wedges. Sugiyama, who designed the clubs used by PGA Tour professionals to earn two Masters titles for Maruman, has created the signature KS series as a work of art and functionality. The KS wedge generates desired feel through its "double forged" manufacturing process and the use of Maruman’s patented S25C "soft" metal composite material. The KS Wedge also incorporates Maruman’s "Micro Spin" finish between the grooves of the face, near the leading edge of the club. In combination with Maruman’s unique hosel pocket design, more of the club face can be utilized for specialty shots and enhanced forgiveness. Finally, Sugiyama has incorporated an increased shaft depth spec to 40mm from the standard 31mm. This increased shaft depth provides golfers with a higher moment of inertia and a more solid feel. All of these features combine to provide golfers with the controlled torque needed to optimize wedge play.
"We at Maruman Global are very proud to officially introduce the ‘KS Wedge’ series to the U.S. Market," Maruman Global CEO Jimmy Chao stated. "The great thing about bringing Maruman back to the states is that we know that Maruman’s products perform exceedingly well.
