Ahead Expands Performance Headwear Line

ACARE Performance Collection Features COOLMAX and Ahead Hybrid Fabric

New Bedford, MA, December 7, 2006 . . . . AHEAD, a leader in branded headwear since the company’s inception in 1995, announces the expansion of its popular ACARE line of performance caps and visors featuring the moisture-wicking properties of COOLMAX® and AHEAD Hybrid fabric, used in its popular apparel line. The ACARE performance headwear collection features 8 different models of caps and 2 visors, which complement the popular Extreme, Vintage and Classic collections.

The ACARE performance collection features the following caps and visors:

  • C17CMX – a popular two-tone structured sandwich cap with a COOLMAX front panel, a foamy mesh back with a Velcro closure and a rubber tab. It is available in 6 popular colors.
  • C17CME is a cousin to the C17CMX. It is also a structured sandwich cap with the COOLMAX front panel, but features a moisture-wicking back instead of mesh. Available in 3 colorways.
  • C18CM3 is a solid structure cap made completely from COOLMAX, including the visor, and comes in either white or khaki.
  • E17MWC is an Extreme fitting cap. The contemporary fit of this structured cap comes with a moisture-wicking back panel and visor, along with a COOLMAX front panel. It is available in 6 two-tone colorways.
  • E68CMX is a COOLMAX visor with a foamy mesh back and is available in 5 sharp colors.
  • The all-moisture-wicking C19MW1 is made from the same fabric used in AHEAD’s Hybridwear apparel where it’s a blended fabric of cotton and Dri-Balance, a moisture- wicking hi-tech fabric. This plated fabric has a cotton face and a polyester back, giving it exceptional performance properties in hot weather. Available in 7 solid colors, this structured cap is nice complement to AHEAD’s Extreme apparel collection.
  • The AHEAD Fit E16 is a fitted, structured all-moisture-wicking cap made from AHEAD’s Hybridwear fabric and is available in 3 sizes: S/M, M/L, L/XL, and in 6 two-tone colors. The E69X is a fitted visor version of the E16 and comes in 4 solid colors.
