SUNRIVER, Ore., Dec. 11, 2006 — It has been a banner month for Sunriver Resort as the Central Oregon-based property has been honored for excellence by four national publications:
1. Golf Digest: Sunriver Resort remained a mainstay on the publication’s "75 Best Golf Resorts in North America" list. The prestigious list appeared in Golf Digest’s December issue.
2. Condé Nast Traveler: For the 11th time in 11 years, the publication’s "Readers’ Ski Poll" placed Sunriver Resort among the "Top 50 Ski Resorts in North America." Only 18 miles from Mt. Bachelor, Sunriver Resort is one of only 13 resorts that has made the Condé Nast Traveler’s poll every year since its inception in 1995.
3. GolfWeek: Crosswater Golf Club at Sunriver Resort earned a lofty spot on the publication’s "100 Best Residential Golf Courses for 2006" list, ranked No. 17. For the first time in 2007, Crosswater will be hosting the Jeld-Wen Tradition, the season’s final major on the Champions Tour (more information below).
4. Golf Odyssey: The international luxury travel golf newsletter named Sunriver Resort one of the four "Best Resorts for Family Foursomes." The honor was part of the publication’s "Platinum Places" rankings in its year-end awards issue.
Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property located 15 miles south of Bend, is a perennial AAA Four-Diamond award winning property.
