GREENSBORO, N.C. – – Golf fans looking to load up on some great merchandise and apparel can shop for a cause this week. The Wyndham Championship, in partnership with Dick Broadcasting, will direct all proceeds from a two-day sale of tournament merchandise to the Kid’s Path Holiday Cheer Program. It’s the last chance – ever – to purchase Chrysler Classic of Greensboro merchandise as the tournament is now the Wyndham Championship.
The sale will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. this Thursday and Friday, Dec. 14 and 15. All of the remaining Chrysler Classic of Greensboro merchandise – certain to have collector’s value in years to come – will be discounted by as much as 70 percent. Some golf shirts will sell for just $12. The clothing sale will be at the Greensboro Jaycees office at 401 North Greene Street in downtown Greensboro.
Proceeds from the sale will enable Kids Path – a program of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro – to reach out to children and families in need of cheer and support this holiday season. Kids Path’s mission is to provide home care for seriously ill children, as well as counseling support for children experiencing the illness or death of someone they love. Support of this sale will not only bring joy to a child, but will also add a sense of hopefulness to families who are in need of encouragement.
The 2007 Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 16-19 at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The tournament thanks new title sponsor Wyndham Worldwide and Premier Partners, AIG, Harris Teeter and VF Corporation for their support. Additional tournament information is available at www.chryslerclassic.org or through the tournament office at (336) 379-1570.
