Popular energy drink provides hours of energy with no crash or jitters

Novi, MI – December 14, 2006 – Living Essentials will introduce its popular 5-Hour Energyâ?¢ drink to the golf market at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show. The unique two-ounce shot offers golf shops a way to capitalize on the rapidly growing energy drink category, and provides golfers a quick boost of energy and mental acuity without the crash or jitters associated with canned energy drinks.

Attendees of the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show are invited to booth 3173 to get their free bottle of 5-Hour Energy.

5-Hour Energy offers golf shops attractive margins and low minimum orders. It also requires no refrigeration and takes very little store space. Instead, 5-Hour Energy’s two-ounce bottles fit neatly on any checkout counter or shelf. A 12-bottle display takes only 25 square inches of space. It’s available in both lemon-lime and berry flavors.

New to golf shops, 5-Hour Energy has been a success in similar retail channels including sporting goods (Dick’s, Big 5 and Dunham’s) and fitness centers (Life Time Fitness, Powerhouse Gym and Gold’s Gym). It’s also a category sales leader at Walgreens, GNC and 7-11 stores.

With zero sugar and only as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, 5-Hour Energy can provide golfers with up to five hours of increased energy, focus and concentration without the crash and jitters associated with traditional canned energy drinks. This feeling of "smooth energy" comes from the product’s large amounts of b-vitamins and amino acids. It contains no herbal stimulants.

The product’s size makes it easy to carry on a golf course. The small two-ounce bottle easily fits in any golf bag. Since it requires no refrigeration it can be consumed any time before, during or after a round.

"5-Hour Energy isn’t targeted at teenagers," said Carl Sperber, Marketing Director for Living Essentials. "It’s designed for adults who need extra energy for work or play, but don’t want to feel wired up or shaky. They just want to feel awake, alert and focused. Golfers definitely fall into that category."
