Izod G Introduces Cocona Technology And Celebrates Zone:Fx Success At 2007 PGA Merchandise Show In Orlando

Every garment in the line has a technical spin. This foundation for Izod G will push performance to a new level with the Summer/Holiday 2007 fashion line introducing Izod G Carbon: Cocona, and Zone:fx.

Izod G is bringing a new type of "green" to its golf game for both men and women. Coconaâ?¢ was named by Time Magazine as one of the most amazing inventions of 2005. Cocona/TrapTek’s fiber and yarn is infused with activated carbon from coconut shells and provides moisture management, odor management and UV protection (SPF 60). The fibers and yarns are lightweight, comfortable and promote all other product features such as stretch and wash ability for the life of the product.

Izod G will introduce four men’s polo styles in multiple colors totaling 15 skus, The women’s collection will feature a jacket, skort in two colors and six tops (one available in two colors) totaling 11 skus.

"Consumers are becoming more eco-conscious, and the green they experience now goes beyond golf course," says Anne Ingham, VP of Design for Izod G. "If you think about the protection that an actual coconut shell gives to its fruitâ?¦it makes senseâ?¦we’re offering the same protection and performance to golfers," she adds.

Another innovative technical concept, ZONE:fx, introduced with the Spring 2007 fashion line, will be exhibited at the PGA Merchandise Show. "The response to Zone:fx has been unbelievable," says Nancy Haley, CEO of Izod G. "The demand has been so incredible that we are nearly sold out of product fixtures," she added.

The product is engineered where the body needs it most with its G-Fresh moisture-wicking and antibacterial qualities. It empowers men and women to pick their level of cool.

A dynamic fixtures house 151 shirts in a 2’X3′ footprint. Each shirt is packaged in a tube with bright IZOD G /ZONE:FX graphics explaining the product benefits.

The G:3 polo has 3 engineered cool zones strategically placed where cool performance is most needed on the body in the hottest weather. G:2 has two cool zones for hot weather and G:1 has one cool zone to keep you cool and comfortable in warm weather.
