SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – ForeFront Holdings, formerly Datrek Miller International, has tapped Luke Michas to fill the role of director of product design, according to Mike Hedge, chief executive officer. Michas will lead the team responsible for managing and coordinating the product design vision of the company. Brands under the ForeFront umbrella, including Datrek, Burton and Miller Golf, produce a wide variety of golf bags and other golf accessories.
"Product design is easily one of the most important functions in our company," said Hedge. "By having innovative, fresh, relevant products to sell, everyone else’s job becomes easier. Luke will make sure we’re the leading manufacturer in all our product categories."
Previously, Michas was director of research and development for Burton Golf, which was acquired by ForeFront in September.
Michas has a wide range of experience in product design. Aside from golf-related products, he has also worked with clients such as Bose, Uvex Safety, Kohler Company and Maytag Corporation. Michas holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Rhode Island School of Design.
