Web Site Adds Momentum To Highly Anticipated 2007 Debut Of Robert Trent Jones II-Designed Golf Course In Washington
UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash., Jan. 8, 2007 – In preparation for the opening of Chambers Bay, Pierce County, Wash., officials and KemperSports, golf course operator, today announced the launch of the championship golf course’s official Web site, http://www.chambersbaygolf.com.
The new Web site is a product of Cybergolf, an industry leader in Web site development and design. Designed for easy navigation, the site features dramatic photographs, hole-by-hole descriptions, the history of Chambers Bay, development updates, a section dedicated to "Frequently Asked Questions," and a link to the monthly "Superintendent’s Update," in addition to a range of other course-related content and graphics. Through the site’s interactive components, visitors will have the ability to book tee times, group tournaments or special events online as well as correspond with members of the design team via the "Ask the Architect" section, or send a Chambers Bay postcard. By signing the online guestbook, visitors will be notified of green fees and tee time availability.
"The excitement surrounding Chambers Bay continues to build," said Pierce County Executive John W. Ladenburg. "The new Web site will serve as a valuable resource for up-to-date information on everything from the project’s history to course layout to opening day of this must-play golf experience."
In anticipation of Chambers Bay’s debut this summer, visitors to http://www.chambersbaygolf.com will be entered into a drawing to win VIP tickets to Chambers Bay’s grand opening event in June.
Situated just outside of Tacoma and less than an hour south of Seattle, Chambers Bay is destined to be one of the most unique recreational opportunities on the West Coast, offering panoramic views of Puget Sound, neighboring islands and the Olympic Mountains. Designed by world-renowned architect Robert Trent Jones II, the 18-hole layout is highlighted by dramatic elevation changes, cliffs, windswept dunes and native grasses. Pierce County officials are confident the scenic venue will grow to attract golfers and tourists from across the nation as well as PGA, LPGA and USGA tournaments.
