ITASCA, IL. – January 10, 2007 – Excel Golf Products, Inc., manufacturer of the "Winningest" high performance golf tee with 27 professional tour victories and over some 160 Top-10 PGA Tour finishes, announced today that a Zero Friction Golf Tee was used at the Mercedes Benz Championship to claim the company’s first PGA Tour victory of the 2007 golf season.
The Plantation Course at the Kapalua Resort provided the elite and limited field of golfers with spectacular views of pineapple plantations and highly challenging, sloping fairways. One distinguished PGA Professional used a Zero Friction Golf Tee to help him navigate his drives and keep him on track and on track he was. The Hall of Famer shot a -69 on the second round and secured his victory by two strokes.
