Orlando, FL – Rife Putters announced today they will be introducing their brand new Island Series putters in Booth #1213 during The 2007 PGA Merchandise Show, held in Orlando, Florida at The Orange County Convention Center, January 24th thru the 27th.
Rife Putters will be participating in the Demo Day on Wednesday at The Orange County National G.C. and encourage all show attendees and media members to stop by the putting green to demo the new Island Series Barbados, Antigua and Martinique putters for themselves.
The new Island Series putters from Rife will utilize the same revolutionary RollGroove TechnologyTM and Lie-Aline Fitting System that fueled the success of the Two-Bar, Aussie, and Mr. Beasley putters in the past two years on the Tour.
The Barbados, Antigua and Martinique putters, introduced as prototypes on the PGA and Champions Tours in 2006, have already captured numerous victories and Top Ten Finishes and have found their way into several of the top Tour Players hands.
About The Barbados
Like all putters from Rife the Barbados is Tour driven. Since its introduction two months ago this oversized mallet putter has found its way into the bag of two of the top 100 players on the PGA Tour whom have enjoyed immediate success. The Barbados putter just recently won GOLF Magazine’s 2007 Club Test for mallet putters, receiving the Top Tester’s Pick Award. The Barbados outperformed several top putter manufacturers including PING, Nike and Odyssey. Guerin Rife has designed the Barbados to have a pleasing shape wrapped around a three line center cavity section creating a strong alignment aid. By moving the mass to the outer edges of the putter, the Barbados is extremely stable. It also features both RollGroove and LieAline technologies.
About The Antigua
Tradition meets innovation in designer Guerin Rife’s interpretation of the classic Anser style putter introduced originally back in the 1960’s. As part of what is being called the Island Series line for 2007, the new "Antigua" features Rife’s trademark vertical alignment notch and patented RollGroove face technology that produces a quicker roll and a softer feel. The Antigua also features a long elegant slant hosel creating a full shaft offset and slight toe down balance. As with all Rife putters the Antigua is 100% milled and made of mild 304 stainless steel.
About The Martinique
A new concept from putter designer Guerin Rife, the Martinique is five inches long with a large center cavity area pushing the weight to the extreme heel and toe for incredible stability. Its key design innovation features an inline shafting combination that promotes a square face to the target line at address. The shaft and the top edge of the face are identical in width and create a single line when the putter is squarely aligned behind the ball at address. This unique feature has already gained the attention of players on both the PGA and Champions Tours where it is already in play. The Matinique is 100% milled from mild 304 stainless steel features Rife’s trademark vertical alignment notch and patented RollGroove face technology for a quicker roll and softer feel.
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
