HARVEST, Ala. (Jan 13, 2007) – Balance-Certified Golf, an acclaimed shaft tuning system which uses strategically-placed weights tailored to individual golfers’ needs, will feature Scott Hoch, winner of eleven PGA Tour events, and Re/Max World Long Drive professional Phil White in Booth 2313 at the PGA Merchandise Show & Convention Jan. 25-27 in Orlando, Fla. Each distinguished golfer will discuss how Balance-Certified Golf’s "Pro-Balance" weighting system has contributed to his success.
"We are delighted that show attendees will have the chance to hear Scott Hoch and Phil White explain the advantages that Balance-Certified provides them and how the system can benefit every caliber of player," said John Cranston, vice president of sales and marketing for Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. "With our Pro-Balance shaft tuning system, golfers are discovering they hit better shots and achieve greater consistency."
Scott Hoch will appear in the booth on Friday, Jan. 26, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. to sign autographs and talk about how Balance-Certified Golf’s "Pro-Balance" system works for him as a Tour professional. Although now a member of the Champions Tour, Hoch will have the opportunity to play in some PGA Tour events this year. His last victory was the 2003 Ford Championship at Doral.
Phil White, who will appear in the Balance-Certified Golf booth Thursday through Saturday, will assist with customized fittings at the booth’s hitting cage and will explain the benefits of Balance-Certified’s weighting system for driving the ball. White, who won the Re/Max World Long Drive District 9 Championship, Senior Division, last year, was a four-time Re/Max World Long Drive Championship finalist from 2003-3006. His longest drive in competition was 403 yards.
"Balance-Certified weights have increased my distances by twenty to thirty yards, maybe more," said White. "They have improved my accuracy by allowing me to feel my club throughout my swing, thus realizing whether my swing is on the proper plane with striking the ball. The added weight in my hands allows me to hold the lag in my wrists and hands for the optimized release/ snap point to generate the maximum kick out of the shaft and triggering higher club head speeds.
"For all the golfers out there, you don’t have to be a professional golfer or long driver to put a Balance-Certified weight into your club and see what a difference the system makes for you."
Balance-Certified Golf’s industry-leading back-weighting technology, developed by a former NASA engineering team in 1999, is in use by a number of Tour players. Recently amateur golfers also have been improving their games by adding Balance-Certified weighting systems to their clubs. The Pro-Balance line introduces strategically-located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed on any brand of golf equipment and any club in the bag. Balance-Certified’s scientific approach to golf club dynamics helps transform "feel" into a definable and tunable parameter. Independent testing has demonstrated that the Balance-Certified Golf system delivers increased ball speed in drivers, greater iron play control and a tangible benefit in "feel" and distance control of putters. Balance-Certified Golf’s system is now in use at the Parmasters Golf Training Center in Memphis, Tenn., as part of the center’s instructional and club-fitting programs.
Balance-Certified Golf’s Pro-Balance weighting system and power rings can be installed by club fitters or by individual golfers with the newly-introduced self-fit kit. Balance-Certified Golf systems can be found at many retail golf shops across the U.S.
