PLANTATION, Fla. (January 17, 2007) — Fine Tune Golf has a true American success story with the acceptance by golfers coast to coast of the original 4-in-1 G-Clip Golf Tool and the new G-Clip MINI Compact Golf Tool. This acceptance is reflected both in the dramatic increase in the number of golf retail outlets carrying these products as well as the number of shops opting to create customized logo ball markers, an integral part of both tools.
The G-Clip Golf Tool is a 4-in-1 tool that attaches to a golfer’s belt and ingeniously carries a ball marker, divot repair tool, two golf tees plus has a Velcro® golf glove keeper. The latest G-Clip product, the MINI, combines a ball marker and Velcro® golf glove keeper on a die-cast alloy frame along with a sturdy belt clip which doubles as a money clip.
The growing list of G-Clip retailers is as diverse as the game of golf from one of the nation’s largest, Edwin Watts Golf Shops based in Fort Walton Beach, Florida with 65 stores in ten states to specialized shops
Also promoting the G-Clip are The Golf Warehouse, the largest Internet golf equipment retailer whose site is visited by millions of golfers, and Golfsmith Golf & Tennis who is selling the G-Clip both online and in their stores. The list also includes on-course golf shops such as Jacaranda Golf Club, Plantation, Florida; Colony West Country Club, Tamarac, Florida; and Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida all of whom have taken advantage of Fine Tune Golf’s ball marker custom logo program for their facilities.
The Surfrider Golf Shop in Honolulu, Hawaii, sells G-Clips with ball markers that have a map of the Aloha State and the Royal Hawaiian Golf Shop, also in Honolulu, chose a ball marker customized with a hibiscus for their stock of G-Clips. Coincidentally three of the retailers who have most recently started selling the G-Clip are in Hawaii as well including Ko Olina Golf Club in Kapolei – Oahu plus two golf courses a short distance away and also on Oahu’s sunny Ewa coast, Coral Creek Golf Course and the Hawaii Prince Golf Club.
Keith Foley President of Fine Tune Golf said, "We have worked hard to get the word out to golfers about how useful the G-Clip is and now the new G-Clip MINI. In turn golf retailers have seen how popular the G-Clip has become with golfers coming in and asking for them. Based on initial retailer feedback when we’ve shown our samples, we expect once the new G-Clip MINI hits stores this Spring that it will reach the same popularity as the G-Clip."
Foley continued, "There are two really important points about our products. First of all they are first quality, ruggedly constructed unlike some of the others on the market. We don’t believe in skimping on the design or construction. Secondly we make it easy for customers to add their logo to the ball marker to promote their course or golf shop. We want the retailers to be happy and successful since that both reflects on us as a supplier but also means more business for us in the long run."
