Dave Esler, principal of Esler Golf Designs, LLC has announced the appointment of Denny Davenport as Business Development Director effective January 1, 2007.
Davenport has been in the golf business for 35 years, including positions as Executive Director with the Chicago District Golf Association and the Northern California Golf Association. A native of the Chicago suburbs, he and his wife currently reside in Anthem, AZ.
Esler Golf Designs, LLC is based in St. Charles, IL and has been in the golf course design business since 1989. Esler graduated from Ohio State University in 1986 with a degree in Landscape Architecture.
Esler Golf Designs was formed to create exemplary new golf courses in an environmentally sustainable, economically viable manner, and to restore historically or architecturally significant existing courses.
Esler’s first solo project, Black Sheep Golf Club, is ranked #53 in Golfweek Magazine’s Top 100 modern golf courses and opened in 2002. Much of his work involves restoration and remodeling of classic designs by Donald Ross, Langford and Moreau, Seth Raynor, Tom Bendelow, and William Flynn.
