PLANO, TEXAS, January 17, 2007 – Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) has reached an agreement with Infinics, Inc., based in Seoul, South Korea, to be the exclusive North American distributor and technology licensee for the DiXX Digital Instruction Putter. With its patent-pending technology, the DiXX Putter utilizes statistical data collected from motion sensors inside a computer terminal attached to the head of the putter. With every putt, the user receives instant feedback related to the swing path, impact position, tempo, face angle, and speed balance of the swing.
The DiXX Putter allows the user to view instant results after each swing and that data is collected in a personal putting profile used for statistical analysis. Using the Motion Selector and a quick twist of the wrist, the user is able to move from screen to screen and make selections for different options and features.
"When we were first introduced to the DiXX Putter we immediately recognized its value to both, avid golfers and their teachers," said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf CEO and President. "The DiXX Putter takes putting training and analysis to another level for those serious about improving their game and for others who appreciate high-tech equipment."
A micro Inertial Navigation System (INS) identifies the position of the ball in relation to the putter face at impact and displays the information on the vibrant color LCD. This data includes the impact position at the toe, sweet spot, or heel, and includes three different face angles; closed, square or open. Additionally, the Micro Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) monitors several key factors of the swing, including the swing path (arc or straight), tempo, and speed balance.
Representatives from Infinics, Inc., will conduct demonstrations of the DiXX Putter at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. (Booth #1791). It will begin shipping March 1, 2007 to high-end specialty retail stores, golf retailers and pro shops. The Suggested Retail Price is $1,000. It is available in lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches. Included is an interchangeable practice swing weight that can be used for recreational purposes. The DiXX Putter is not approved by the USGA.
