Clinton, MD, January 2, 2007 – SPS Golf Management Solutions (SPS GMS) announces today their participation in the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show, January 25-27, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
SPS GMS will be located in the 5,000 section of the Show floor, in Booth number 5488. SPS GMS leads the industry in providing a completely integrated Web-based golf course management system designed to handle Reservations, Point-of-Sale (POS), Credit Card Processing, Inventory, Membership, CRM, Marketing, IVR, Accounting Integration, and complete Partner Booking Tools for Hotels and Packagers. SPS GMS also offers their Food and Beverage (F&B) system, SPS EntréeAccess, featuring Touch Screen and Wireless Technology.
SPS GMS POS systems were recently added to ten of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) recreational facilities. Rodney Pryor, the Park Operations Superintendent at NVRPA said, "NVRPA started using the SPS GMS Point-of-Sale system about five years ago. It didn’t take long for us to see the advantages of using this system throughout our 21 park sites. Not only did it work for our golf courses, but its ease of operation and reliability made it a likely candidate for our water parks, swimming pools, visitor centers, campgrounds, and museums. Basically, anywhere that financial transactions take place and records are kept."
NVRPA particularly likes the fact that they are able to have access to all of their facilities through the Internet, which means eliminating the need for expensive onsite servers and substantially reducing the need for IT staff. "Being Web-based saved NVRPA the networking cost of a huge database system, and with SPS GMS consistently upgrading the software, it keeps us current with new programs and technology. We rely heavily on the SPS GMS system for information statistics including financial and user trends. With just a click of the mouse, all of our facilities are readily equipped for data mining by the NVRPA Management Team," stated Pryor. SPS GMS also helped install a Membership Card program for all NVRPA golf courses and facilities, totaling 15 systems.
Additional Testimonials from Satisfied SPS GMS Customers:
"Indispensable! SPS GMS integrates all types of payments at POS so there is no back-end work to do. The product helps us track our sales, and the reports available help us manage our business."
—Jack Mohr, Golf Shop Associate, Regent Park Golf Club
"SPS Golf Management Solutions is the most affordable software system on the market and is jam packed with hundreds of different options and reports. Since the software system is Web-based, I can look at all of the data from my home to see how our business is going. I have used many different POS Systems, and this one is the most user friendly for my staff. The SPS GMS system has given us the availability to capture data from every player that golfs at our facility, enabling us to market to them and increase our business."
—Jeff Gandee, PGA Head Professional, Auburn Hills Golf Club
"SPS GMS does it all. From tee sheet management to member billing. The product enables us to track and manage revenue in all areas of our business from the Golf Academy and Practice Complex to Tournaments and F&B. The reports we can generate help us measure and manage our business more effectively, yielding greater results for our bottom-line."
—Rich Albright, PGA Professional, Regent Park Golf Club
SPS EntréeAccess is the F&B module of the SPS GMS POS product offering for the golf course and multi-unit restaurant market. EntréeAccess seamlessly integrates member charges to Club Accounts within the POS system for billing purposes. A number of SPS GMS golf courses are now using the EntréeAccess F&B module, including the new Old Corkscrew Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus signature course in Southwest Florida; Rio Bravo Country Club, Bakersfield, California; and Hill Crest Country Club, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Outside of golf, EntréeAccess was selected for chain-wide restaurant use at Buffalo Philly’s Franchising, LLP, of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Foster’s Franchise Concepts, Inc. of Haymarket, Virginia. Both Buffalo Philly’s and Foster’s are running EntréeAccess in their corporate owned restaurants and have plans to require all future franchisees to use the EntréeAccess restaurant POS system. Starting in January 2007, Wings To Go, an EntréeAccess customer with over 100 locations, will make it mandatory for all new Wings To Go restaurants to use EntréeAccess for their POS System.
Peter Kenaga, Operations Manager for seven Foster’s Grille restaurants, has tried other POS systems in the restaurants he manages. "Our previous POS system had a ‘poll to corporate’ setup, but it was unreliable and we still had to travel all over Northern Virginia to each restaurant just to do simple things like changing menu pricing, discounts, employee data, and the like. With EntréeAccess and its central point-of-sale repository, we can now perform those tasks right from our own desks. We can also get sales, inventory, and time and attendance reports for all our stores at any time," Peter explained.
Chris Roth, President of Buffalo Philly’s Franchising has already seen an improvement in operations. He states, "With EntréeAccess’s integrated, real-time credit card authorization module, we can authorize credit card purchases in three seconds without having to dial up the service for each transaction. We have also shaved a good amount of time off our payroll processing by using EntréeAccess’s built in time and attendance system. At the end of the week, we simply run the Payroll Report from the EntréeAccess back office program and give it to our accountant. No more adding up hours manually like the old system. EntréeAccess is much quicker and extremely accurate."
