ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 17, 2007) — The GOLF CHANNEL’s dynamic new show The Approach with Callaway Golf will be a unique and topical show that houses all the meaningful information necessary to know why players win and lose, to handicap the upcoming week and to help fans re-examine their own game in the process.
Premiering on Monday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, host Inga Hammond will preside over PGA TOUR professional Andrew Magee and journalist Alex Miceli as each individual attacks issues and answers from a different perspective. In a point-counterpoint fashion, the two analysts will dissect tournament information in a fresh and entertaining manner to help indicate why given players succeeded or failed in the previous week’s PGA TOUR event and indicate who should do well in the upcoming week.
"We are excited about the addition of The Approach with Callaway Golf to the GOLF CHANNEL," said Tony Tortorici, vice president, Production & executive producer for the GOLF CHANNEL. "There is always more than one way to analyze events that dictate the outcome of any given tournament and this show will examine the outcome from every angle."
The entertaining and informative format will be golf’s version of baseball’s "box score" with lively debates that brings meaningful water cooler discussion to golf’s legions of fans.
"I’m very excited to have the opportunity to analyze golf in a different way with a total different approach," said Miceli, who is a contributing writer for GolfWeek magazine and the President and Publisher of Golf Press Association. "I hope the golf fan will see what has happened and what will happen in a different light after watching the show."
