Jeff Jackson, Managing Director of Peerless Golf, a leading industry component supplier, is scheduled to present a seminar to United States Golf Teacher’s Federation members prior to the upcoming PGA show in Orlando. The seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, will detail how the teaching of the golf swing is related to the fitting of golf clubs. The seminar will include information related to various golf club specifications and how each plays a role in ball flight.
"Teaching the golf swing properly is a key to student success," notes Jackson, a USGTF member and teacher himself. "That success can be greatly accelerated if the student has the proper equipment. Why try to teach a player how to swing correctly when his or her equipment won’t allow him to do so? Teaching and fitting go hand in hand. The goal of my seminar is to enlighten USGTF members to what to look for in equipment during a lesson. Combining good instruction with fitted equipment is a win-win for both student and instructor."
Jackson has written five clubmaking and fitting texts, including Total Clubfitting and The Modern Guide to Clubmaking. He has authored articles for several national and international publications and is a regular contributor to several Internet sites. He is a frequent speaker at golf-related seminars in both the U.S. and Canada. Jackson has participated in the Australian PGA Education Program on numerous occasions. Jackson is also owner of Granville Golfland, a fitting center and practice facility in central Ohio.
