Professional GPS System Certification Sets A New Industry Standard
Austin, Texas (January 19, 2007) – UpLink Corporation will launch the golf industry’s first professional GPS training center at booth # 3435 at the PGA Merchandise Show on January 25-27, 2007.
The new UpLink Technology Advancement Center will offer programs leading to GPS System Certification as well as a series of Internet-based GPS training modules to help our customers insure their golf course staffs are fully trained and updated as necessary to gain the maximum benefit of the UpLink GPS System as a profit generation center. The Technology Advancement Center has been developed in direct response to customer’s desire to build staff competency in the use of the system and to address training requirements resulting from staff turnover.
The Center will maintain and update the latest available information on system operation and industry best practices and document these for our customers in system user manuals and on-line information tools.
The Internet-based training modules will address very specific aspects of managing the GPS system and can be accessed by customers at any time from wherever they have an Internet connection. Most modules can be completed in approximately fifteen minutes on-line.
The GPS System Certification will involve a rigorous training program conducted on-site in Austin, Texas. The certification will include GPS system operations and management from a technical perspective as well as an intense review of best business practices in the use of the UpLink GPS System to generate more revenue, open up new profit centers, improve golfer services, and streamline operations.
"We developed our new Technology Advancement Center based on specific customer feedback. Our customers wanted to access training from anywhere at anytime and that’s what we gave them," comments Mike Cronin, senior vice president of sales at UpLink. "The combination of on- line training and formal GPS System Certification provides a great way for our courses to overcome turnover, maintain qualified staff and become GPS best practices leaders."
The first training session will begin in March 2007 and UpLink customers can enroll by emailing info@uplinkgolf.com.
