Sportlifestyle Brand Caters To Golfers "On-The-Go" In 2007
Westford, Massachusetts, January 16, 2007 — PUMA®, no longer the new kid on the golf course, will be returning to the 2007 Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Merchandise Show in Orlando on January 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center. The global sportlifestyle brand entered the golf category last March and will showcase their 2007 performance and lifestyle golf collections of apparel, footwear and accessories in meeting room DM2, overlooking the equipment and apparel floors.
"PUMA Golf had a successful first year and as we go into 2007, we are confident the golf and fashion communities will be impressed with the color, innovation and style we are presenting in our latest collections," said Bob
Philion, PUMA Golf Business Unit Manager. "PUMA has infused the sport with
a unique blend of sports and lifestyle and we’re happy to return to Orlando for the show."
Continuing PUMA Golf’s mission of being inclusive, colorful, stylish and fun, the 2007 collections put an emphasis on the traveling golfer. A concept spanning from golf getaways to urban golf, PUMA Golf products are made for those on-the-go, who love to play the game. Designed and engineered with sport convenience in mind, PUMA Golf seeks to present the lightest, most versatile gear that is packable and wearable on and off the course for the total golf experience. For spring 2007, PUMA takes their design cue from exotic and tropical golf course destinations and features graphic-themed prints and vivid tones of Amazon, sulphur, violet, capri breeze, yucca and bright rose. For fall 2007, PUMA takes inspiration from the sport’s symbolic home of Scotland, where the game has thrived for centuries.
PUMA will participate in the daily fashion shows on the main stage and will be taking appointments in their meeting room, DM2.
PUMA works with top-notch golfers across the world that epitomize the fusion of sport, lifestyle and fashion, including Geoff Ogilvy, Johan Edfors, Nicole Perrot, Miho Koga and Erica Blasberg. Most recently, PUMA announced the signing of Hideto Tanihara who made his PUMA Golf debut earlier this month. True to the PUMA brand, PUMA Golf is a unique fusion of performance and design that reflects the tradition and style of the sport together with a unique PUMA twist. PUMA Golf can be found at select fashion and green grass retailers nationwide and PUMA Concept Stores across the country.
