Srixon's John Rollins Finishes 2nd At The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic

Srixon’s Allenby Scores Second Top 10 Finish in a Row


ATLANTA – January 22, 2007 Srixon Staff Professional John Rollins finished 2nd at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in Palm Desert, California with a 17-under par, 343 total (67-67-69-67-73). In blustery and cold conditions during the final round at the Classic Club, Rollins hit the 560 yard Par 5 18th in two and two putted for birdie on his final hole of regulation to earn his way into a playoff before falling on the first extra hole. Rollins, armed with Srixon’s Z-UR Golf Ball, Srixon I-302 Irons, and Srixon Forged Wedges moved up 23 spots to 4th place in the FedExCup Standings with 3,172 total points. Rollins won the BC Open, had 4 Top 10s and won nearly $1.5
million in 2006.
Srixon Staff Professional Robert Allenby carded another Top 10 in his second tournament of the season with an 8th place finish. Allenby, the first round leader with a sizzling and lowest round of the tournament-63-shot a 13-under par, 347 total (63-70-70-70-74) playing with Srixon’s W-403 Driver, I-506 irons, Forged Wedges and Z-UR golf ball. Allenby had 3 Top 10s and amassed over $1.5 million in career earnings in 2006. He is currently in the Top 20 in the FedExCup Standings.
On the European Tour, at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, Srixon Staff Professionals Miguel Angel Jimenez and Henrik Stenson also earned 2nd and 8th place finishes. Jimenez, playing with Srixon’s all new and improved Z-URS finished in a tie for 2nd place with a 16-under par, 272 total. Srixon’s newest staff professional, Henrik Stenson finished solo 8th for his 4th Top 10 in as many events since switching to Srixon in November of 2006. Stenson plays Srixon’s I-506 irons and the Srixon Z-UR golf ball.
