ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – Butch Harmon and Nancy Lopez are among the celebrities taking the stage in the ING Hospitality Room at the PGA Merchandise Show his week at the Orange County Convention Center. All media attending the PGA Show are invited to both sessions, conducted by the not-for-profit networking organization, the International Network Of Golf.
Harmon will appear in ClubING, Room 309-A, Friday at 5:30 p.m. during a media cocktail reception sponsored by Golfpac Travel of Orlando. Harmon will answer questions and discuss theories and techniques that vaulted him to the head of the class of golf’s leading instructors. Harmon’s list of current and former students includes Adam Scott, Natalie Gulbis, Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Darren Clarke and Fred Couples. The Butch Harmon School of Golf is located at the Rio Secco Golf Club in Las Vegas.
Hall of Famer Lopez will appear at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday at a media cocktail reception sponsored by International Pairs, which is making a major announcement in 309-A at 5:45. Lopez, 4-time LPGA Player of the Year, is founder of Nancy Lopez Golf, makers of women’s golf equipment.
Also taking place in ClubING is the 14th Annual ING Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference. Nominees in 12 golf business-related categories will be recognized, and winners announced in this awards ceremony, known by many as "the Academy Awards of the golf industry." CBS Golf commentator Mary Bryan will serve as master of ceremonies.
ING has been networking the golf industry since 1990. Its mission is to bring the golf media together with the golf industry to share information, test products and develop business relationships. The next conference is at PGA Tour site Turing Stone Resort & Casino near Syracuse, NY, June 3-7. Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to participate in ING.
