Titleist Ambassador Charley Hoffman Captures Bob Hope Chrysler Classic

Fairhaven, MA (January 22, 2007) – Birdie-eagle-birdie. That was how Charley Hoffman closed out the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic to earn his first career PGA Tour title in a playoff, proving he is indeed better than ever.

The golf ball Hoffman trusted is also better than ever. The Titleist Pro V1 prototype. In fact, the winners of the first three PGA Tour events this year – Vijay Singh, Paul Goydos and Hoffman – have all relied upon a new Titleist Pro V1 prototype for their early season success. A Titleist ambassador, Hoffman also trusted Titleist from tee to green, carrying a full bag of Titleist equipment.

WHAT’S IN CHARLEY HOFFMAN’S BAG?: Titleist Pro V1 prototype golf ball, Pro Titanium 905R driver (8.5), Forged 680 irons (3-9), Vokey Design pitching (48), sand (56) and lob (60) wedges, Scotty Cameron by Titleist Red X putter.

TITLEIST LEADERBOARD: Of the 12 players who finished among the top 10 and ties, 9 relied on Titleist golf balls, including seven who played the Pro

V1 or Pro V1x prototypes. Overall, Titleist was the golf ball choice of

96

players in the 128-player field, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 13.

Titleist tied for the most played iron sets (28), and was the overwhelming top choice in the wedge (113) and putter (45) categories. Hoffman led the field this week in putts per round (26.6) and was 7th in putts per GIR (1.651).

Titleist was second in the driver count with 28, which included 12 907D prototype models in play.

Among the field of 384 amateurs in this week’s pro-am format, 288 (75%) relied upon Titleist golf balls.

WORLWIDE WINS: Pro V1x player Airil Rizman Zahari of Malaysia earned his first career Asian Tour title at the season-opening Pakistan Open. The win advanced Titleist’s victory account across the 2007 worldwide professional tours to 10, five times the nearest competitor with 2.
