PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, January 23, 2007 The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) has promoted Lissa Putnam to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. She is responsible for sponsorship sales and fulfillment, relationships with member benefits providers and meeting management.

In 2005, Putnam was EWGA’s first USGA P.J. Boatwright intern working on the administration and execution of the 2005 EWGA Championship. She returned to Indiana University to complete her Masters Degree in Sports Management from the School of Health, Physical Education, & Recreation in the Department of Kinesiology, before joining EWGA full time as sales and marketing manager in January 2006. Her undergraduate degree is also from Indiana University where she played on the women’s golf team. Raised in Bloomington, Indiana, she has been a long time volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Hook-A-Kid-On-Golf.

"Lissa has earned this promotion by demonstrating her ability to take on increased responsibilities over the past year," says Pam Swensen, Chief Executive Officer of the EWGA. "She has developed many key industry contacts and relationships with marketing partners and delivered on revenue goals. We commend her dedication to the organization and her desire to impact the growth and reputation of the EWGA."

Since the EWGA started in 1991, more than 80,000 women have benefited from membership in the organization which is dedicated to providing opportunities to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life. There are currently 120 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. The chapters provide a wide range of golf, social and networking activities for both new and experienced golfers.

"My mother used networking opportunities on the golf course to further her success in corporate America," says Putnam. "To work for an organization whose mission and foundation is parallel to the values I was raised with is truly rewarding. I look forward to sharing the message of how women can benefit from the many professional and personal opportunities the EWGA has to offer, while having fun on the golf course."

The EWGA is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. For more information about the association and its membership, visit www.ewga.com
