Pompano Beach, FL – Otabo announced today their participation and plans to exhibit and launch 5 new styles at the international golf industry’s premier marketplace, the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show, January 25-27, 2007, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Otabo applies a unique state-of-the-art manufacturing process that combines traditional and modern shoemaking techniques to approximately 30 styles. Innovative manufacturing techniques such as waterjet leather cutting for fine detailing; vision guided precision stitching; and digitally sized lasts cut on a computer numerical control lathe.
Each style can be customized for toe shape, leather type, color, and outsole; giving the customer 225 to 6,000 design variations per style. Luxury materials include Italian Calfskin, fine dress leathers tanned for high performance, and exotic skins at special request. Signature Otabo features include plush full leather linings; sock-liners with custom arch support; water-jet cut detailing; custom-contoured fiberglass shanks which are more lightweight and stronger than traditional steel shanks; and leather outsoles tanned using a century-old method of oak-bark tanning, and digitally crafted with a fiber bonding technique that is stronger and more durable than traditional nylon stitching. Golf styles feature ankle-locking, padded collar design for added stability; and highly durable, anti-oxidation, stainless steel cleat receptacles which are custom configured for the customer’s foot size and adaptable to industry standard cleats.
