The Bobby Jones Golf Company is launching a direct-response television campaign exclusively on The Golf Channel, beginning this February. The 30-minute advertising program, featuring the critically acclaimed Bobby Jones by Jesse Ortiz Hybrid golf clubs, features endorsements from PGA legend Ken Venturi, world renowned golf instructor Jim McLean; PGA Champions Tour standouts John Jacobs and Jay Sigel; and the grandson of the great Bobby Jones, Bob Jones IV.
The Bobby Jones Golf television campaign is inspired by the success that the company’s Chief Designer, Jesse Ortiz, experienced with a similar promotion in the late 1990s. In 1997, Ortiz – now considered one of the finest club craftsmen in the world – helped produce perhaps the most successful product introductions in the history of golf advertising, propelling his closely held family business from $1 million to $100 million in annual sales in just over 18 months with his renowned TriMetal(TM) fairway woods.

The program aims to illustrate the story of The Bobby Jones Golf Company, including how the family of the great Bobby Jones hand-selected Ortiz to personally design each club. Ortiz and his history of family craftsmanship will also be highlighted, along with the technological features of the Bobby Jones by Jesse Ortiz Hybrids. The program will provide a direct-to-consumer sales vehicle via telephone and the Internet.
