Site to Provide Users with Improved Online Registration System
MARIETTA, Ga. (January 31, 2007) – The Atlanta Junior Golf Association – Atlanta’s home for junior golf since 1974 – unveils a re-designed Web site (www.atlantajuniorgolf.org) on February 1 in support of its re-branding and marketing initiative. The Web site will provide youth, ages 7-18, and families with a primary resource to learn about golf and register for competitions.
Designed by Ferguson & Associates and integrated by Blue Golf, L.L.C., the Atlanta Junior Golf Web site will provide users with a variety of new and unique features, namely a more efficient platform to navigate and gather information pertaining to junior golf. Visitors perusing the site will have an easy and efficient experience evaluating the membership program and its benefits; finding and registering for tournaments; and discovering additional golf resources, like clinics and intercollegiate programs.
"We are excited about our new Web site since it will provide a better service to our online users," said Roh Wezner, Atlanta Junior Golf Association executive director. "In the past, we had trouble finding and updating information on the site as the season evolved. However, that will change allowing us to give members and visitors information in a more timely fashion."
Moreover, an additional benefit for Atlanta Junior Golf staff will be Blue Golf’s full integration of the tournament schedule and registration at the Web site, rather than on multiple systems. In the past, multiple platforms created hassles, additional expenses and were often outsourced. Now, with Blue Golf’s readily available customer service team, the association will be better supported and able to continue to provide first-class service to its membership group.
In 2007, Atlanta Junior Golf will celebrate its 33rd year supplying Atlanta metropolitan area youth – from Dalton to Macon and Carrollton to Athens – with an opportunity to participate in golf competitions where the atmosphere for all skill levels, from beginner to low handicapper, are welcome and the traditions and integrity of golf are preserved.
The Atlanta Junior Golf Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and gains its funding through memberships, sponsorships and contributions. Contributions to the association are thus tax deductible by individuals and corporations alike. The Atlanta Junior Golf Association is governed by a Board of Directors who are leading area business people, golf enthusiasts and golf professionals. Members of the Board serve as volunteers and help guide the activities of the organization.
