Orlando, Fla. – January 31, 2007 – Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ, the original property in Marriott Golf’s worldwide portfolio, is returning to its roots by announcing today that both Championship golf courses on property will assume their original names, while the original golf club logo will be resurrected. The Jack Snyder designed Club Course will revert back to its original name, Indian Bend, while the Arthur Hills designed Resort Course will once again be known as Padre.
As part of the return to its heritage, Camelback Golf Club, located at Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott Resort & Spa, and winner of the AAA 5 Diamond award for 31 consecutive years (1977-2007), has enhanced the golf experience on property by installing the INFOREMER-HDâ?¢ GPS System, developed by GPS Industries. Currently featured at Wildfire Golf Club, Marriott’s sister property in Arizona, Camelback’s GPS System is backed by the industry’s most advanced technology and will provide a more compelling and interactive experience for all golfers. The INFOREMER-HDâ?¢ GPS System, which is currently up and running on property, features a 10.4 inch LCD display screen, installed in every golf cart, offering an integrated Wi-Fi communications network and a comprehensive suite of software applications, including real-time sports scores and full motion content.
