The Golf Channel will air coverage of the first two rounds of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am (Feb. 8-9), along with complete coverage of the European Tour’s Maybank Malaysian Open (Feb. 8-11) and Champions Tour’s Allianz Championship (Feb. 9-11). The Golf Channel will also premiere the "Grey Goose 19th Hole" in a new timeslot — 9:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Feb. 7 and its "Golf Central Primetime" franchise Feb. 10-11 at 9 p.m. ET. This week, Golf Channel will air live coverage of the first two rounds of the FBR Open from 3-6 p.m. ET today and Friday. The rounds also will re-air in their entirety beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. …

Author Matthew Adams introduced his newest book, "Chicken Soup for the Women Golfer’s Soul," at the recent PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. … Classics of Golf reports that it now owns the remaining stock of the limited edition book, "Art and Architecture of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club" by Peter Lewis, Fiona Grieve and Keith Mackie. … Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Fla., debuts its 60,000-square-foot Legends Ballroom. The new $25 million facility features a 24,000-square-foot ballroom with 22-foot ceilings and 27,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor pre-function space. The ballroom will accommodate 2,000 attendees. …

Tickets are on sale for the Toshiba Classic, March 5-11, at the Newport Beach Country Club in Newport Beach, Fla. One day passes are $18 in advance and $20 at the gate. Season grounds badges providing admission for practice rounds Monday and Tuesday, pro-am rounds Wednesday and Thursday, and tournament rounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday are $50. Season clubhouse badges providing admission to the grounds and clubhouse all seven days of tournament week are $100. For information, call 949-660-1001. … Simon Plumb is the new golf professional at Sandford Springs Golf Club in Kingsclere, England. … Annika Sorenstam awards a sponsor’s exemption to 14-year-old MacKinzie Kline of Encinitas, Calif., one of the top-rated junior golfers in the country, to play in the Ginn Tribute hosted by Annika. Kline suffers from a rare heart condition and, due to her medical condition, cannot walk long distances without becoming fatigued. As a result, the LPGA has issued a ruling making Kline the first player in the organization’s history to be able to utilize a cart during her rounds due to a medical condition. …

Oklahoma City-based Golf USA Inc. has been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as the "Top Golf Franchisor" for 2007. It is the third time in the last five years that the company has been awarded the honor by the magazine. … Thomson Perrett & Lobb golf architecture firm has been appointed by HOK to create a championship golf course at Al Ain Emarat in the United Arab Emirates. … The Roger Rulewich Group oversees renovations at Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury, Conn., and Silver Spring Country Club in Ridgefield, Conn. At Ridgewood CC, the renovations included all the green surrounds being reworked from the green out. The green complex at the 15th hole was expanded and rebuilt; the greens on the third, fourth, fifth, 13th and 16th holes were enlarged; and new back tees were added at the second and third holes. The initial phase of this comprehensive renovation master plan was completed in 2006. At Silver Spring CC, the approved master plan calls for an assortment of tee work, as well as the repositioning and addition of fairway bunkers. … The 2007 International Pairs United Kingdom final will be held at Carnoustie Golf Links, Oct. 16-17 in Scotland. … Keri Golf introduces tote bags and headcovers as part of its spring 2007 collection of fashion and performance specialty golf bags and accessories.
