EL PASO, Texas, Feb. 7, 2007 – The city of El Paso’s Department of Aviation and KemperSports, golf course operator, today announced the launch of Butterfield Trail Golf Club’s official Web site, http://www.butterfieldtrailgolf.com. The championship layout, designed by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio, is slated to open in late spring.
The new Web site, designed for easy navigation, features: the history of Butterfield Trail, development updates, course layout and hole-by-hole descriptions, a section dedicated to Tom Fazio, information regarding special events and outings, in addition to a range of other course-related content and graphics. Through the site’s interactive components, visitors will have the ability to book tee times, group tournaments or special events online, as well as purchase online gift cards. By joining Butterfield Trail’s online e-club, visitors will be notified of green fees and tee time availability.
"The new Web site allows us to offer the public a unique look at Butterfield Trail," said Patrick Abeln, director of aviation at El Paso International Airport. "Viewers will be able to trace the history of the project and stay abreast of course developments as we continue down the homestretch to opening day."
In anticipation of Butterfield Trail’s debut, visitors to http://www.butterfieldtrailgolf.com will be entered into a drawing to win a complimentary foursome and prize package for opening day this spring.
Developed and owned by the city of El Paso’s Department of Aviation, Butterfield Trail features a par-72, championship design by world renowned course architect Tom Fazio, complemented by a spacious practice facility and an 8,800-square-foot clubhouse. Fazio has taken advantage of distinctive desert topography, including natural sand dunes and native flora and fauna, to highlight the Southwest’s natural beauty. The 18-hole, public golf destination will serve as a high-end anchor to the airport’s surrounding property and business as well as a catalyst for future commercial development.
