Cedar Falls, IA (02/09/07) – UPRIGHT Golf, a division of Egli & Associates, Inc., introduced their new patent pending MagnaFlex ´Marker Mag´ during the 2007 PGA Golf Merchandise Show. It’s anticipated that the Marker Mag can have a positive impact on the number of rounds played per year by our ‘senior’ golfers. The Marker Mag is an amazingly simple playing aid that enables golfers to actually place (yes PLACE!) and pick up today’s "magnetically friendly" ball markers. According to Jim Egli, owner and founder of UPRIGHT Golf, "UPRIGHT Golf playing aids are ‘ending the bending in golf’ and the Marker Mag compliments our product line very nicely."
One side of the 7/8" diameter Marker Mag disc is magnetically treated and the other side has a pressure sensitive adhesive cover. Simply peel the PSA cover off and stick the 1/32" thick (i.e. thinner than a dime) Marker Mag on the bottom side of your putter head. The Marker Mag will work on any make or model of putter head but it may need to be trimmed with a scissors for a blade style putter head. We recommend that the "Marker Mag" be placed towards the toe end of the putter head whenever possible. This will make it easier to place and pick up your ball marker and it will prevent the Marker Mag from even touching the putting surface.
How the Marker Mag works –
With the ´Marker Mag´ attached to the underside of your putter head (out towards the toe end) hold your "magnetically friendly" marker in the palm of your hand and simply touch the top of the ball marker with the Marker Mag. The magnetic attraction of the Marker Mag now holds the ball marker which allows you to place the marker.
To place your ball marker –
With the ball marker "magnetically attached" to the "Marker Mag" simply position the putter head directly behind your ball and gently press the ball marker into the putting surface. Pull or slide the putter head towards you (while making slight contact with the putting surface) and the ball marker will slide off of the Marker Mag and be positioned directly behind your ball.
To pick up your ball marker –
Simply touch the ball marker with the "Marker Mag" and lift. Remove your ball marker from the Marker Mag and return it to the hat clip or pocket. Its that simple
