Arnold Palmer announces his entry into the luxury golf and lifestyle market with "Palmer Premier."
Palmer Premier is a golf and luxury lifestyle design model with every detail inspired, influenced and elevated to the standards of Arnold Palmer. Palmer Premier will be a special experience that does not end when you walk off the golf course. To qualify for the Palmer Premier designation, each project must maintain the standards of ambience and amenities befitting Mr. Palmer’s unrelenting desire for excellence.
Mr. Palmer has wide business interests, including his Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Fla., Latrobe Country Club in his hometown of Latrobe, Penn., and Arnold Palmer Enterprises, a Cleveland-based company that oversees much of his global activities. Mr. Palmer has always endorsed and represented brands which are synonymous with luxury – Rolex, Lexington Furniture, Ketel One, Luna Vineyards and Callaway golf equipment.
"The Premier gives me the chance to work directly with my design team to accomplish what I see as the highest level of course design and club operation. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years. I couldn’t be happier," Mr. Palmer said.
Mr. Palmer retired from golf tournament competition last year and intends to make Palmer Premier part of his lasting legacy. The mission of Palmer Premier is to build a select few courses meant to be enjoyed for generations. His designs have included great courses such as The Tradition Golf Club in La Quinta, Calif., and The K Club in Ireland, which hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup.
"At the end of the day, I want people to say, ‘I had a great day of golf,’" Mr. Palmer said.
