The International Network of Golf Awards Mizuno ‘Best Print Advertisement’ Honors
Norcross, GA (February 7, 2007) – Mizuno, maker of world’s finest irons, announced that their "Baby Blanket" print advertisement, part of the successful "Your Passion Is Our Obsession" campaign, received the prestigious ING (International Network of Golf) Industry Honor Award in the "Print Advertisement – Products & Services" category at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show. The winning creative execution features a golfer at home watching television with his very young son sitting next to him on the couch. He is so passionate about his Mizuno golf clubs that he is shining up his irons as he watches T.V., but instead of a golf towel or similar instrument, he is using his son’s baby blanket while his son continues to clutch onto it. Other executions in the series similarly display golfers and their intense passion to golf.

ING is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in the golf business. Its annual Industry Honors Awards recognize outstanding achievement in a variety of golf business categories, such as print advertising, television commercial, product ingenuity, and public relations campaign. Nominations for the awards are collected throughout the year from anyone involved in the golf industry. A sub-committee then narrows down the nominations to three finalists in each category. At that point winners are determined by a vote of ING members. The Master of Ceremonies for the 2007 ING Industry Honors Ceremony was hosted by CBS Golf commentator Mary Bryan.
