Hall-of-Famer Webb Shoots Course Record 62 to Win Second Tournament in a Row ATLANTA — February 12, 2007 Srixon Staff Professional Karrie Webb followed up with her win at last week’s Australian Women’s Open with another win this week at the ANZ Ladies Masters on Sunday at Royal Pine Resort in Gold Coast, Australia. Webb, armed with Srixon’s I-302 irons, W-506 driver, and Z-URS golf ball, shot a 269 total, 19-under par (71-68-62-68), which included a course record and low round of the tournament 62 on Saturday. This is the sixth time Webb has won the ANZ Ladies Masters (1998-2001 and 2005) and she becomes only the second player in history to win the same Ladies European Tour event six times.
This win also marks Webb’s 46th career victory, a number that includes seven Major Championships. The 2006 five-time winner will start her 2007 LPGA season next week in Hawaii and will then defend her Kraft Nabisco Championship title in March. Webb finished second on the 2006 LPGA’s Money List and second in the inaugural Rolex Women’s World Rankings.
