Cirrus shoe lighter than a cup of coffee

Patent pending ‘lite ring’ technology eliminates excess weight

REDMOND, Wash. – Among the glitz, glamour and golf gadgets at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Bite chose a simple approach to convey the message about their lightweight Cirrus shoe line. Using a large equal arm balance scale with a cup of coffee on one side and a Cirrus shoe on the other, Team Bite effectively demonstrated patent pending "lite ring" technology considerably reduces the weight of your golf shoes. When the scales were activated, the coffee easily outweighed the Cirrus shoe.

"Our patent pending ‘lite ring’ technology enables us to manufacture the lightest shoe in golf," said Dale Bathum, Bite shoes owner and founder. "By using a co-molding process, we eliminated the need for heavy rubbers or plastic materials to seat the spike receptacle in its proper position. With the elimination of the extra material, we reduced the number of production processes to create a nine ounce shoe (average size, average Cirrus model) at an extraordinary value."

The new lightweight Cirrus line features a supportive outsole unit made from lightweight Phylon formula. A dual density Phylon formula–softer in compaction zones but firmer in ground contact areas. The Fast Twist receptacles are made from hard plastic while Bite’s exclusive "lite ring" holds the receptacle in position without adding weight. The Fast Twist Xcitor spikes have "directional traction" which provides a solid golf swing.

There are four styles in the women’s Cirrus line – the Vibe, Vibe AC, Inspire and Slingvibe AC. The durahide and mesh Vibe AC retails for $75 and is available in four color choices. The leather and suede Inspire retails for $79 and also comes in four color combinations. The white/steel blue leather Vibe retails at $89. The white/navy durahide & mesh Slingvibe AC retails for $69. All four styles are available in women’s half sizes 5, 6-10, 11

Bite’s "lite ring" technology will be made available in men’s shoes around mid-June.
