ATLANTA – February 19, 2007 Srixon Staff Professional Jim Furyk and Robert Allenby tied for third at the Nissan Open on Sunday, February 18, 2007. Furyk, the number 2 player in the world and the 2006 Vardon Trophy winner, played with Srixon’s I-506 irons, Forged wedges, and Z-URC golf ball to shoot a 13-under par, 271 total (67-70-67-67) for his third Top-10 of the season. The 2003 U.S. Open Champion also continues to showcase his consistent shot making skills as he is now 1st in driving accuracy (79.74%),
1st in greens in regulation (75.69%), and 3rd in scoring average (69.06) on the PGA Tour for the 2007 season. Furyk was one of only 5 multiple winners on the PGA Tour in 2006-He won the Canadian Open in September and the Wachovia Championship in May. Furyk is currently in 10th place on the FedExCup standings.
Allenby played with Srixon’s W-403 driver, 3-wood and 5-wood, I-506 irons, Forged Wedges, and Z-UR golf ball to shoot a 13-under par, 271 total (69-66-68-68) for his 4th consecutive Top-10 of the season. He also led the field with 22 birdies and tied for 1st in greens in regulation (72.2%). Allenby currently leads the PGA Tour in scoring average (68.87), and is 11th
in the FedExCup point standings. His strong start to the year has moved him
from 47th place in the world rankings up to 25th. Srixon Staff Professional Karrie Webb came in 3rd place at her first LPGA Tournament of the season at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay in Oahu, Hawaii on Sunday. Webb played with Srixon’s W-506 driver, I-302 irons, and Z-URS golf ball to shoot a 6-under par, 210 total (70-70-70). Webb, the 2006 Kraft Nabisco Champion, is coming off of consecutive victories at the Australian Women’s Open and the ANZ Ladies Masters this year.
