AUGUSTA, GA (Feb. 15, 2007) – Demonstrating its commitment to honor the game of golf and preserve its history, Club Car announced an agreement with the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame to help recognize individuals who have made lasting contributions to the sport in Georgia and throughout the region.
As a supporting sponsor of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame, Club Car will provide financial assistance and participate in events including the annual Georgia Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which honors individuals who have contributed significantly to golf in the state.
"We’re pleased to support the efforts of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame to recognize the men and women who have been ambassadors for golf in our state," said Phil Tralies, president and CEO of Club Car. "If not for the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame, the contributions of many of these individuals would go unnoticed or not receive the credit they deserve."
Since its formation in Augusta in 1982, the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame has focused on commemorating the rich history of golf in Georgia while working to inspire and educate the region’s youth to reach their highest potential.
