ATLANTA, GA (Feb. 19, 2007) – Boys and girls ages 4 to 12 may now enter U.S. Kids Golf World Championship Qualifiers being held throughout the United States. The first-place finisher in each age and gender division at the one-day Qualifiers will receive an invitation to participate in the 8th Annual U.S. Kids Golf World Championship, August 2-5, at Pinehurst Resort and other courses in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area of North Carolina.
In a move designed to encourage those who are already qualified for the World Championship to compete in the Qualifiers, tournament organizers announced that players finishing second to previously qualified players also will receive an invitation to the Championship.
Players may compete in any World Championship Qualifier regardless of residency. They also may enter more than one qualifying event. A player’s age as of July 31, 2007 determines age group participation at both the World Championship Qualifier and the World Championship.
