Leads with 1.691 Average per GIR; Builds on 2006 Success
(Franklin, TN – February 21, 2007) Vaughn Taylor leads the 2007 PGA Tour putting statistics with 1.691 average per GIR, building on his 2006 Tour success when he finished first in putting average among the top 40 money winners.
This is a very promising start to Taylor’s season, building on his impressive 2006 firsts in putting average at The Players Championship, Wachovia Championship, Buick Open and Chrysler Classic. Taylor finished 35th on the 2006 money list, joining the top 40 money leaders for the consecutive season. He had six top 10 finishes, placing him tied for 15th in that statistic on the PGA Tour in 2006.
Taylor was one of the two youngest rookies who qualified for the U.S. Ryder Cup team. SeeMore putters were tied for the number one brand played by the U.S. team. Taylor uses a SeeMore putter. In March, SeeMore is introducing a new milled version of the mFGP that Taylor has been using.
"This is truly an impressive start to Vaughn’s 2007 season and bodes well for another great year for him," says Jim Grundberg, Managing Director of SeeMore Golf. "It will be exciting to watch Vaughn as he heads to the East Coast where he played exceptionally last year."
Under its new ownership, SeeMore has introduced its new mSeries of putters combining the beauty, precision, accuracy, and feel of 100% milled heads with the original proprietary and proven alignment benefits of the SeeMore RifleScopeâ?¢ Technology (RST) system.
The mSeries comes in includes three distinctive, finely crafted models to appeal to different player’s putting preferences and styles. The m1 is a classic heel/toe blade with center shaft, the m2 is a classic heel/toe blade with heel shaft and the m3 is a classic mallet with center shaft.
The patented RST alignment system technology allows a golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process resembles locking radar onto a target.
SeeMore became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter. Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. He sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the tournament. In 2003, Zach Johnson set a Nationwide Tour season record for fewest average putts per green in regulation, an incredible 1.699, using a SeeMore putter.
