Leading Golf and Sportswear Brand Named Top Exhibitor at PGA Merchandise Show

(Vancouver, BC, Canada) – Popular golf and sportswear designer Linda Hipp announces that her company, LIJA, received "Best of Show" honors from Golfing Magazine at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show.

LIJA stood out among more than 1,250 vendors as one of the top exhibitors in the soft goods category with apparel that fuses sport, leisure and fashion. The company debuted its extensive Fall 2007 collections, rich in jewel-tone colors across technical and traditional fabrics.

"A significant amount of time and effort goes into making each PGA Show better than the last," says Hipp. "The market responded tremendously well to our Fall collections and we’re very excited by this honor."

Hipp, 40, previously worked as a business development executive for Vancouver’s Canucks (NHL) and Grizzlies (NBA). An avid and highly-skilled golfer, Hipp struggled to find on-course apparel that meshed with her off-course fashion sensibility. Recognizing a market opportunity – and the chance to combine her passions for fashion, golf and business – Hyp Golf was launched in July 1997. The company re-branded as LIJA in late 2004. Chiefly influenced by both European trends and West Coast style, Hipp has garnered a widespread reputation as one of North America’s hottest sportswear designers.
