The Public Is Invited To Experience The Newest In Golf Technology At Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
February 26, 2007, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., is hosting a Grand Re-opening of its North Myrtle Beach location on Friday, March 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The public is invited to attend and see the changes and technological innovations that have been made to the store. In addition to having two simulators, the store is now equipped with six hitting bays that feature 27-inch flat screen flight scope monitors to provide a detailed readout of each shot. A new short game improvement area features a 1300-square foot putting green, indoor chipping area and a real sand trap. The practice area will be available to golfers who want to test their short game skills clubs, as well as for use during lessons with one of the store’s professional instructors.
Martin’s North Myrtle Beach location now features a huge assortment of home décor in a new and expanded home entertainment department. Shoppers have access to a wide assortment of golf specialty furniture that is ideal for the home office, den or condo. In addition, golf-themed accessories for the bath and sunroom are available, as well as novelty golf items such as trophies and games.
Martin’s is also debuting an all-inclusive "kid’s pro shop." Everything a young golfer needs as they develop their game is available in one location in the North Myrtle Beach store. Juniors can be fit for the best clubs for their ages and sizes and can select from top brand names like U.S. Kids and Nike. Just like adult golfers, kids can also find the latest in high-performance fashions and shoes all in the one convenient location of the store.
The Grand Re-opening will also feature light refreshments and appetizers from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Drawings will be held to award two grand prizes — an entry into the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship and an entry into the Annual Father and Son Team Classic held in July.
"We are excited to be able to showcase all the improvements that have been made to our North Myrtle Beach store," said Steve Conwell, Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations for Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc., the owners of Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore. "We pride ourselves on playing an active role in our community, and the dramatic changes to this store will give us an even better opportunity to help anyone who visits us to improve their game."
In addition to carrying the largest selection of golf equipment, apparel, shoes and golf-themed home décor in the area, Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore provides golfers with access to technology and services usually found only in professional "Tour Vans" at tournament sites. Computerized swing simulators and launch monitors are in place to analyze a player’s swing speed, ball speed and spin rate, launch angle and impact zone. Game improvement tools such as the Balance-Certified — Golf’s Motion Balancing Adjustment Systemâ?¢ are available to adapt clubs to each individual’s needs. Professional instructors and clubfitters provide lessons and guide club fitting.
