AVON PARK, Florida (Wednesday, March 7, 2007): Three Florida golf courses grassed with SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum turfgrass from Environmental Turf were named to Travel & Leisure Golf’s list of America’s Top 100 Golf Communities.

For the second year in a row, the magazine named Old Palm Golf Club, designed by Raymond Floyd in Palm Beach Gardens, and Tuscany Reserve, designed by Greg Norman and Pete Dye in Naples, to the prestigious list.

New to the Top 100 list this year is TwinEagles. Also located in Naples, the community recently opened its Gary Player-designed course, The Aerie at The Club at TwinEagles, which also uses SeaDwarf.

According to the editors of T&L Golf, the goal in creating the Top 100 is "to identify those communities that best combine superb golf with homes and facilities of the highest quality, an extraordinary location and a wealth of lifestyle opportunities."

Eco-friendliness was also a deciding factor in choosing this year’s Top 100——and eco-friendliness is something that innovative SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum turfgrass is known for.

SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum requires up to 50% less water for irrigation than the bermudagrasses commonly used on warm-season golf courses. It also requires approximately 75% less nitrogen for fertilization than bermudagrass. SeaDwarf may be irrigated with nearly any quality water, from potable to effluent, even seawater under proper maintenance. Plus, salt may be used as an herbicide.

Both Old Palm and Tuscany Reserve are developed by WCI Communities.

TwinEagles is developed by The Bonita Bay Group.

SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum is available through Environmental Turf a
