TEMECULA, Calif. — Eastern Golf Company, an exclusive Akira distributor, proudly announces that the new Akira ‘UI’ Utility Iron Series is now available to dealers and golfers in the United States. The UI-Series hybrid clubs are the world’s first utility irons to feature three unique vibration-dampening technologies for extreme feel and performance.
‘Akira may not be a household brand name for some American golfers, but Akira is well-known internationally for providing golfers with excellent quality products at a great value," says Mike Matheny, president and CEO of Eastern Golf Company, exclusive United States distributor of Akira golf clubs. "The new UI-Series hybrid utility clubs are incredibly unique and introduce an entirely new level of technology to hybrid club design that goes far beyond the typical clubhead size and club length."
The Akira UI-Series is one of the most advanced hybrid utility club designs in the world. Each UI-Series hybrid club incorporates three unique technologies: Vibration-absorbing material is injected into the back of the clubface which grants extraordinary feel at impact; Ultra-thin face design, featuring a 1.4mm face thickness of soft E2000 forged steel which provides high vibration dampening and high elasticity; and unique Power V.A.S bars, internally bridging the clubface to the rear of the clubhead, which provides club strength and stability.
"The UI-Series is an impressive utility club that every golfer should add to his or her arsenal," adds Matheny. "The ball launches nicely and it feels great coming off the clubface."
Akira Products Co. has earned a strong international reputation following a corporate philosophy which inspires innovation and honest engineering. Through creative technologies and new design concepts such as stabilizing beam structures, hyper-steel manufacturing and variable face densities, Akira has worked relentlessly in developing clubs that provide maximum satisfaction to every golfer. Akira has also collaborated with many of the world’s most respected graphite shaft manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Graphite Design, Fujikura, Mamiya-OP and others.
Akira UI-Series is available in 18-, 21- and 24-degree models, with either Fujikura graphite shaft or Nippon steel shaft options. MSRP $265 with steel shafts, $275 with graphite.
