Professional Golfers Continue to Rely on Popular, High-Performance Shaft
(SAN DIEGO, California) – Graphite Design — maker of some of the most widely played graphite driver shaft models on the PGA TOUR — today announces its YS-6 shaft led the graphite wood shaft model count at the PGA TOUR’s PODS Championship, according to the Darrell Survey.
A total of 16 YS-6 shafts were in play during the PODS Championship, where professionals counted on the popular model to negotiate the difficult Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Tampa Bay, Fla. The YS-6 remains the go-to shaft for numerous TOUR players; last year, the YS-6 and its sibling, YS-7, combined for 16 graphite model-count victories. The YS-6 was the most popular graphite driver shaft on the PGA TOUR from 2003-2005.
The YS-6 was one of 22 Graphite Design models in play at the PODS Championship, including Pershing, Purple Ice, Tour AD and Tour GAT.
