Bite introduces foot friendly After-Golf sandals

Orthotic capable footwear deemed ‘best flip-flops’ on market

REDMOND, Wash. – Bite, the innovative footwear company that introduced the world to the original golf sandal a decade ago, is expanding their footwear line with the release of the After-Golf sandals. These foot friendly, orthotic capable flip-flops are incredibly supportive and come with a removable footbed and an adjustable thong post for custom fitting. Wear them after a round or around the house.

"One of the key features that set the After-Golf sandals apart from other flip-flop style shoes is their adjustable strap system," said Dale Bathum, Bite founder and owner. "The system creates two advantages — it provides fit customization because no two feet are alike, and it provides tension control to reduce ‘flop’ so the sandals stay on the foot better."

The After-Golf sandals are part of Bite’s Orthosport line. This ground-breaking technology allows you to customize fit and comfort by accepting any over-the-counter or custom footbed. If you wear orthotics, put Bite’s ortholiner in your shoes first and then lay your orthotic down on top of it for a comfortable custom fit. Bites ortholiners come standard with the After-Golf sandals.

"As a test, we made some of the After-Golf sandals available last summer and they were very well received," said Bathum.

Not only did the customers who tested the product love it, but it received praise from members of the podiatry field who tried it too.

"I really think that your product is the best flip-flop I’ve ever seen," said Bruce Williams, D.P.M. Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

The After-Golf sandals are available for both men and women and retail for $69.99.

The men’s sandal is the Mako and it comes in two styles – a leather upper for everyday wear or a quicker drying beach upper for trips to the ocean. The Mako is designed with Bite’s new OS3 system – a plastic 3/4 support system with a cushioned polyurethane footbed. The leather upper is available in two color combinations aztec/crimson/black and navy/black/gray. The beach upper is available in three color combinations black/black, crimson/black and charcoal/navy. Both styles come in men’s whole sizes 7-16.

The women’s after-golf sandal is the Spirit OS1 and has uppers made from quality leather/mesh and comes with cushioned linings for comfort. The Spirit OS1s also have a small toe guard rise to protect your polished nails. It comes with Bite’s OS1 system which provides both cushioning and support. The Spirit OS1s are available in eight colors and come in women’s half sizes 5, 6-10, 11.
