LPGA Tour, Duramed Futures Tour and Ladies South African Open
DENVER, March 13, 2007 — YES! Golf claimed three tour victories last weekend with C-Groove putter technology. LPGA Tour rookie Meaghan Francella won the MasterCard Classic, tour veteran Lori Atsedes won the Lakeland Duramed Futures Classic and the winner of the Ladies South African Open also used a YES! putter.
"The ladies definitely had a strong finish this weekend," stated Francis Ricci, CEO, YES! Golf. "Our tour reps have spent a lot of time on the LPGA and Duramed Futures Tour over the past year seeding our putters, and it is great to see such positive results. Congratulations go out to Meaghan and Lori from our entire staff."
Francella, just six weeks into her rookie year on tour, went head to head with Annika Sorenstam to pull out a victory on the fourth playoff hole. Francella used the Callie, a slightly toe-down blade C-Groove putter, to sink the 4-foot birdie putt and clinch the victory. YES! Golf was second this week in the putter count on the LPGA Tour with 28 players using a C-Groove putter.
On the Duramed Futures Tour, Atsedes recorded her seventh career win with a strong finish on Sunday. Down the stretch she rolled in a 15-footer for birdie on the 16th hole, saved par on 17th hole with a 20-footer and then secured the victory with a short putt for par on the final hole. Atsedes uses the Tiffany putter, a heel shafted, face-balanced mallet. YES! Golf continues to dominate the putter count on the Duramed Futures Tour with 40 putters in play last week.
To round out the weekend, YES! Golf was also victorious at the Ladies South African Open. The winner, using a Callie, won her second Open as an amateur defeating a strong field of professional golfers.
Yes! C-Groove putters have gained popularity over the last year both on the professional tours and in the golf shops. YES! putters are currently used by over 150 tour professionals around the world.
