Pellucid recently announced that it will be using the golf facility database from National Golf Foundation (NGF) to update the supply data in its Golf Local Market Analyzer (GLMA) platform. Pellucid President Jim Koppenhaver outlined the reasons behind this mutually-beneficial licensing agreement saying, "We’ve had the opportunity over our 6-year history to use or evaluate the majority of existing facility databases available today. NGF has demonstrated a strong commitment over the past several years to improved accuracy and timeliness of updates which are critical in commercial vs. recreational information applications."
The improved facility database capability will drive an expanded range of market analysis applications as a component of Pellucid’s industry-leading GLMA web-delivered software. With over 25 annual licensees including the leading companies in valuation, feasibility, financing, course management and retailers, this enhancement to the GLMA will extend the competitive information advantage currently enjoyed by these clients. In addition, the enhanced facility capabilities will fuel the over 50 ad hoc projects completed by Pellucid annually for a wide range of clients seeking an accurate picture of the health of local golf markets and geographies.
Concludes Koppenhaver, "The combination of this gold-standard facility database with our existing golfer information at the state level and our proprietary weather impact facts down to facility level will provide the best multi-dimensional view of markets and performance available today."
