WALTHAM, Mass., March 27, 2007 – Etonic Worldwide and the Duramed FUTURES Tour announce Etonic has renewed its sponsorship as the "Official Golf Shoe and Golf Glove" of the Tour. As an official sponsor, Etonic will receive signage at all events along with sponsorship of two new programs, "First Time There" Award and "Closest to the Shoe" series.
"The Duramed FUTURES Tour has been a wonderful partnership for Etonic," stated Dan Ladd, vice president of sales, Etonic. "It allows us to gain exposure for our performance line of women’s footwear and gloves among professional golfers and also amateurs who play in the pro-ams and attend the tournaments. In addition, we are able to use the tour players as a sounding board for future models and styles."
Etonic has been a sponsor of the Duramed FUTURES Tour for the past five years. As part of their 2007 sponsorship, Etonic has added two new programs: "First Time There" award and "Etonic Closest to the Shoe" series. The "First Time There" award is given out to players who win their first professional event on the Duramed FUTURES Tour. Each winner will receive a pair of Etonic shoes. The "Closest to the Shoe" is a competitive series of four contests for cash and merchandise held at designated tournaments sites. The four winners then compete head-to-head in the grand finale in a series of skills challenges in a winner take all format for $1,000.
"Etonic has been very supportive of our tour and players for many years," stated Zayra F. Calderon, president and CEO, Duramed FUTURES Tour. "We appreciate their loyalty and commitment to women’s professional golf and look forward to working with them on building the Etonic brand among women."
