Ultra-Premium Model Delivers Superior Feel and Stability Through Unique Four-Axis Construction
(SAN DIEGO, California) — Graphite Design — maker of some of the most widely played graphite driver shaft models on the PGA TOUR — today announces the availability of its Tour AD Quattro Tech high-performance shaft, engineered with an innovative four-axis construction to deliver exceptional stability and high-launch, low-spin shots from today’s larger clubheads.
Originally introduced in Japan and highly popular among professionals on the Japan Tour, the Tour AD Quattro Tech is now available through Graphite Design retailers in the United States. Quattro Tech is offered in five flexes and four weight categories ranging from 54 – 87 grams and is suitable for use in drivers and fairway woods. The shaft’s low kick point promotes a high ball flight with minimal spin, producing maximum distance for players of all levels.
Utilizing Graphite Design’s low-resin, ultra-high-modulus materials, the Tour AD Quattro Tech is constructed with fibers lining the shaft surface at four different angles. This structure produces superior stability through impact, especially at high swing speeds, while the Quattro Tech delivers the smooth feel and power which distinguish Graphite Design shafts.
Quattro Tech shaft features include:
.335" parallel tip diameter and 2.95" parallel tip length
47" overall length
Torque ranging from 2.8 – 5.5 degrees
Striking and stylish turquoise design
MSRP: $380
"The Tour AD Quattro Tech is a fine addition to our lineup of ultra-premium graphite shafts and upholds Graphite Design’s tradition of technical innovation and superior craftsmanship," said Victor Afable, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Graphite Design. "Better golfers will appreciate the outstanding control Quattro Tech delivers at fast swing speeds, while players of all calibers can optimize the accuracy and distance of modern clubheads by using this shaft."
Quattro Tech joins Graphite Design’s renowned Tour AD shaft line, which has produced numerous professional victories the world over. The Graphite Design family of high-performance shafts includes the YS Series, Purple Ice and Pershing, introduced to wide acclaim in 2006. Hank Haney, instructor to the world’s top-ranked golfer, endorses and plays Graphite Design shafts while serving as a consultant on product development.
Last year, Graphite Design’s YS-6 and YS-7 combined to earn more graphite wood-shaft model count victories on the PGA TOUR (16) than any other manufacturer. Also in 2006, Graphite Design shafts were played by 41 winners of professional tournaments worldwide while players using the company’s shafts amassed more than $90 million in PGA TOUR earnings. On the Japan Tour, Graphite Design shafts were in the bags of 18 winners in 2006 while the company extended its win streak in the wood-shaft brand count to 134 consecutive tournaments – an unprecedented string dating to 2002.
